Kelby's Hair Cut

Last week we had planned on getting Hunter's normal hair cut. Kelby's friend Kaegan had gotten hers cut the day before so at Connie's Kelby announced "My Mommy won't ever let me get my hair cut short!"
So, I let her be her own person and get it cut shorter (within reason of course!). She ended up cutting off 5 inches of beautiful hair! She gets it cut about every 9 weeks and we trim off 1-2 inches but this was an actual "short" cut for her. She was so excited and wanted to show everyone!
It grows so quickly that it will be back before winter!

Hurricane Harbor

On Saturday, we went to Hurricane Harbor! The kids had never been to a "big" water park before and I wanted to take them before the summer was over. My friend Aron we went us and the kids just adore her. We had a GREAT time even though there were thousands of other people there for the day!

Arons's cousins Jennifer, Cooper and Hillary met us there!

Lake Arrowhead

On Sunday, we went out to Lake Arrowhead for the afternoon with some of our friends that have a house there. The kids had so much fun on the jet skis, fishing and on the kid safe 4 wheelers!
Kelby rode on the jet ski with Eric and I and LOVED it! Wanted to go too fast!!
Hunter was content fishing on the shore!

Slip-n-Slide

The kids had so much fun on Saturday playing on the Dora Slip-n-Slide!
Kelby was really good at it and Hunter and Hayden tried!
I think they just enjoyed crashing into each other at the end!
They said that the water was getting in their eyes so they all needed to wear goggles in order to slide properly!

Memories

Today at lunch with Thana, we were sitting at Cotton Patch and I saw one of Jonathan's friends.
He came over and we chatted for a few minutes about him, Isaiah, the new headstone and other random stuff.
When Johnathan was here, we never really knew his friends. It wasn't until after the funeral that we got to sit down and get to know a whole other side of him. His friends came over to Dad's and sat with us for hours. Jonathan had lots of really close friends but always thought that we wouldn't approve of them.
This boy I visited with today has been so sweet to us. A very nice guy and he was a good friend to Jonathan.
It was a nice and unexpected conversation to occur at lunch. It's always nice to talk about loved ones you miss even if it's at a random place.
This is one of my favorite pics of two of my brothers!

Independence Day!

We had a wonderful 4th of July holiday weekend!
We kicked off the weekend with the annual bike parade at Connie's. The kids always have so much fun decorating their bikes and eating snow cones that she makes them!

On Saturday, we swam with our friends then went out to my grandparents to shoot off some fireworks. My kids didn't enjoy the noise too much and stayed inside most of the night with Papaw!
Hayden, however, was a Pyro! He had lots of fun with the boys lighting up the sky!

They did like the show that SAFB put on becasue we were "far away" from them and they weren't as loud to them.

On Sunday, we went to John & Lauries for a fun day of swimming and fun. Kelby and Hunter had lots of fun playing with all of the kids there.

Matchy Matchy

The kids are ready to celebrate the 4th of July today at Daycare!
Kelby said, "Mommy, can you take our picture since we match today!" They crack me up but looked so cute!

My brother and I used to have to match also, but it was an outfit with barn animals all over it!
